Most of the coverage out of IFA Berlin this month focused on Creality's K3 and SPARKX i8 multicolor systems, but the company's full IFA 2026 announcement covers considerably more ground. Buried in the same release are a new resin printer duo, a large-format FDM machine, and a handheld 3D scanner — three products that, together, say more about where Creality is trying to take its lineup than the headline multicolor launches do.
The announcement, dated September 6, arrived alongside confirmation that Creality's M1 Filament Maker took home an IFA Innovation Awards 2026 win, and it's worth separating the show-floor noise from what actually shipped as news: a resin platform aimed at both ends of the price spectrum, a print volume bump for FDM users tired of splitting large models, and a scanning tool that's a notable departure from Creality's usual product categories.
HALOT-X1 Max and Neo: resin printing scales up and down at once
The HALOT-X1 Max is the flagship of the pair, and its spec sheet reads like Creality chasing the upper end of the prosumer resin market rather than competing on price. It's built around a 17.1-liter build volume — large by masked-stereolithography standards, where vat size is usually the first casualty of scaling up — paired with a 16K display for pixel density. A 16K panel at that build volume matters more than it might on a smaller unit: stretch a lower-resolution display over a larger vat and per-pixel size (and with it, visible layer banding on curved surfaces) creeps up. Keeping resolution high while growing the vat is the harder engineering problem, and it's the one Creality is advertising as solved here. The Max also gets 40°C active heating, which addresses one of resin printing's more persistent seasonal headaches: viscosity. Cold resin flows poorly, drags on the FEP film during peel, and produces failed layers in unheated garages and workshops through the winter months. Active heating — rather than passive insulation — keeps the vat at a consistent working temperature regardless of ambient conditions. Mechanically, the Max moves to a quad-lead-screw design, which should translate into more even Z-axis loading across a larger build plate — a detail that matters more as vat size (and therefore plate weight and peel force) increases. Rounding out the flagship is a 5-liter smart resin system, aimed at the batch-printing and small-production crowd who don't want to babysit a machine through resin top-offs on every print.
The HALOT-X1 Neo sits at the other end of the line: a compact, entry-level unit with AI-assisted creation features. Creality's release is light on Neo specifics compared to the Max, but positioning it as the accessible on-ramp to the same X1 platform suggests Creality is trying to keep resin newcomers in its own ecosystem rather than losing them to cheaper competitors, while funneling anyone who outgrows the Neo toward the Max rather than a rival brand.
Ender-3 V3 Mega: the Ender name goes big-format
The Ender-3 line has spent years as Creality's budget-FDM workhorse, typically associated with compact, entry-level build volumes. The Ender-3 V3 Mega breaks from that pattern with a 420 x 420 x 420mm build volume — large enough to print full-scale cosplay armor pieces, furniture components, or multi-part enclosures in a single job rather than splitting and gluing. Notably, Creality specifies that the V3 Mega handles 85A-95A TPU, a flexible-filament hardness range that's historically been troublesome on machines not purpose-tuned for it — TPU's flexibility makes it prone to buckling in the extruder path and stringing at retraction unless the feed system and hotend are specifically calibrated for softer materials. Naming that range explicitly suggests Creality validated the extruder and feed path against flexible filament rather than just shipping a bigger frame around the existing Ender-3 mechanism.
Pika: a handheld scanner that's new territory for Creality
The most unusual product in this batch isn't a printer at all. Pika is a handheld 3D scanner weighing 260 grams, using a seven-line blue laser combined with near-infrared (NIR) scanning. Creality claims up to 0.03mm accuracy and scan speeds as high as 110 frames per second. Multi-line laser scanning (as opposed to single-line or structured-light systems) generally trades some cost for faster full-surface capture, since more of the object is triangulated per frame rather than built up from narrow sweeps. Pairing that with NIR scanning — useful for capturing surfaces that give blue-light scanners trouble, like reflective or very dark materials — points at a scanner meant to handle a wider range of real-world objects than a single-modality budget scanner would. A sub-300-gram handheld unit at 0.03mm claimed accuracy would put Pika in competition with reverse-engineering and dimensional-inspection tools that have traditionally cost significantly more than consumer 3D printing hardware.
What It Means for Makers
None of these three products is a standalone press event — they're line extensions and a category experiment tucked into a broader IFA showing. But each answers a specific gap. The HALOT-X1 Max targets resin users who've been bottlenecked by small vats and slow, cold-weather cures; the Neo keeps the entry tier inside Creality's ecosystem. The Ender-3 V3 Mega takes a trusted, budget-friendly name and stretches it to a build volume and material range (flexible TPU included) that previously required stepping up to a pricier machine. And Pika, if it performs to spec, gives makers doing reverse-engineering or scan-to-print workflows a cheaper on-ramp than dedicated metrology hardware. What's missing from both source releases is pricing and availability dates for any of the four products — the Max, Neo, V3 Mega, and Pika. Until Creality publishes that information, these remain spec-sheet announcements rather than buyable products, and the real test — as with any IFA reveal — will be whether retail units match the claimed accuracy, print quality, and material handling once they're in makers' hands.
