San Diego County Sues Polymaker, Arguing Marketing Turns PLA Filament Into a 'Firearm Precursor Part'
San Diego County has sued Polymaker under California's Unfair Competition Law. The complaint does not argue that PLA is illegal. It argues that gun-rights branding, a firearm-focused creator and affiliate links made the filament a regulated 'firearm precursor part'.

Polymaker's HT-PLA Pro Doubles Impact Strength Without Giving Up Heat Resistance
Polymaker's new HT-PLA Pro nearly doubles notched Charpy impact strength over standard HT-PLA and boosts Z-axis layer adhesion, while still hitting 107.6°C heat deflection after annealing — at the same $25.99/kg price.

TPU vs TPE vs TPC: Choosing the Right Flexible Filament for the Job
Flexible filaments are not interchangeable. TPU, TPE, and TPC differ substantially in hardness, chemical resistance, print temperature, and long-term fatigue behavior. Choosing the wrong one means a part that either fails in service or was never printable in the first place.

High-Flow Filaments: What They Are and Why Your Speed Printer Needs Them
At 300+ mm/s, standard PLA becomes the bottleneck — not the motion system. High-flow filaments are formulated to melt faster, enabling speed printers to reach their actual potential.

Polypropylene (PP) Filament: Why It's Difficult and How to Print It Successfully
Polypropylene's chemical resistance and flexibility make it valuable for functional parts, but its near-zero bed adhesion and significant warping push most printers to avoid it. Here's how to manage both.
