WASP's patent-pending dual extrusion process alternates earth paste and plastic pellets layer by layer, so the plastic holds up geometries that clay can't support alone and can be separated from the earth again at end of life. Recycled PLA is among the first materials tested, and no performance data or launch date has been released.

GC's first restorative printing material is a highly filled, highly viscous hybrid ceramic resin that it says conventional dental printers can't process. IMDEA and UPM have patented a one-step method for 3D printing braided superelastic nitinol implants. In lab tests the braids survived 50% compression, recovered more than 90% of their shape, and pushed on vessel walls with up to 5x less force than printed lattices.
